After extending their lease, MB Shipbrokers wanted to properly invest in their workplace, with the aim of enhancing quality, functionality and longevity.
They needed better acoustics and privacy, a breakout area, and upgraded shower facilities to support a growing cycle-to-work culture. The layout also required refinement to improve flow and make better use of space.
We reconfigured the layout, adjusting desk orientations to improve circulation and create a dedicated breakout space, which they hadn’t had previously.
We then rebuilt their existing boardroom with acoustic glazing and a new door to enhance sound control. Changing its orientation allowed the room to work more effectively within the floorplate, with a new partition between the entrance and boardroom to improve privacy and strengthen the arrival experience with space for branding.
We also introduced new furniture in collaboration with OW-N Furniture, including in the boardroom and a breakout table and chairs.
To make the breakout area more appealing, we also revitalised the teapoint with upgraded doors, sink and finishes.
Storage has been rationalised to increase the shower room footprint. A new shower system, changing facility and upgraded flooring were installed, alongside additional storage throughout the floor.
The impact
The office now feels more cohesive, functional and future-ready. Acoustic performance and privacy have improved, collaboration is better supported, and wellbeing has been prioritised.
The result is a considered workspace that reflects their renewed commitment to the space and supports their next phase of growth.
