CBRE Investment Management wanted to refresh the reception area of 48 Chancery Lane to create a stronger first impression and help attract prospective tenants.
This included a series of general improvements to modernise the space, enhance the tenant experience and elevate the building’s overall appearance.
Working alongside Helme + Partners, HOP Works delivered a targeted refurbishment focused on achieving maximum impact within the project’s logistical and budget constraints.
The reception area was transformed with a new reception desk, bespoke joinery seating, updated signage, feature walls and a full redecoration throughout.
During the design development stage, we explored a number of wider alteration options. After reviewing programme requirements, site logistics and costs, a strategic decision was made to focus on a high-quality cosmetic upgrade rather than more extensive structural changes.
This approach allowed us to refresh the space efficiently while delivering a contemporary and welcoming arrival experience for tenants and visitors.
The impact
The completed refurbishment has given the building a renewed identity, creating a more professional and inviting reception environment that better reflects the quality of the asset.
By focusing investment on key visual and functional improvements, the project delivered a significant uplift to the tenant experience while maintaining programme and budget efficiency.
